In honor of our 20th OudFest, each attendee will receive a special gift exclusive to this year’s OudFest in addition to all the oud oils and perfumes they get to sample, and the opportunity to produce a semi-bespoke composition with all the Ensar Oud oils and atelier aromatics you desire.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Call it a “feast”, “fest” or what you will… the point of the OudFest is to let you experience complete olfactory immersion unlike any other. Not only is this an opportunity to smell the upper echelon of Ensar Oud’s collection and EO Parfums that’ll drown you in olfactory delight – you’ll also get to smell our semi-bespoke line, including perfumes like Purple Rain and Garden of Eden. And if you want more…… you’ll also have the chance to collaborate in producing your own semi-bespoke composition.

Individual ouds can have over 150 aromatic constituents that evoke a depth and degree of sensory satisfaction unmatched in the olfactory world. And when you take these one-of-a-kind ouds and compose a symphony of supporting chords and notes surrounding them, harmonizing to elevate their intrinsic character and profile, niche becomes the norm……… and then you simply can’t go back.  

Ensar Oud established the artisanal oud niche and brings their expertise and 15+ years of perfumery experience to every bottle. Through balanced use of scrupulously controlled small-batch oud oils with on-the-ground quality control and aromatics that aren’t just fit for a Sultan, but literally come straight from the Sultan’s palace. 

The renowned Oud Royale 1982 was the first bottle Ensar Oud released from the treasury of the late Sultan of Oman, Sultan Qaboos. Now, the same caliber ouds – most of which date right back to the days of Oud Royale itself – are actually being used in EO Parfums like Sultan Red Rose Parfum, Enchanted Rose, and EO No 3…  now, that’s what I call an OudFEST!

OUDFEST HISTORY

Ensar Oud began its journey in 2004 in New York City and has since worked tirelessly to bring us the world’s most acclaimed oud oils and compose the finest artisanal perfumes.

After experiencing a number of oud gems buried beneath mountains of generic and uninteresting commercially-produced ouds, he realized that to – not only capture the highest quality oud oils – but also sculpt them around the EO aesthetic, he would have to go back to the jungles and do things the EO way.

That’s how he set out on his journey from New York. Inspired and encouraged by his mentor and spiritual guide, he pursued the legendary and dwindling natural wonder in a mad quest to create the greatest ouds.

Every time Ensar Oud returned from the forays into the jungles of the Far East he brought with him a feast of olfactory delights, a festival for the senses and unforgettable experiences (read more about them here). 

Ensar Oud never claimed to have discovered oud distillation or even revive it – obviously, it’s a practice that dates back centuries. But his new breed of artisanal ouds are widely credited for injecting new flare into the art of oud distillation throughout the world, and his keen attention to detail has been the source of ouds of unmatched quality, recognized as such by friend and foe alike. His reputation grew, and soon he started receiving requests and invitations to bring his ouds to different cities throughout the world. 

Ensar Oud hosted and has been a special guest at many gatherings, and thousands of one-on-one meetings since 2004. The first official OudFest was hosted in October 2014 when Ensar Oud toured London, Birmingham, and Dubai. Oudheads loved it so much that over the next few years the OudFests continued across the globe, including the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, the UK, and Turkey.

In October 2020, Ensar flew to London to host yet again, but new regulations prevented the event from taking place. But serendipitously the turn of events means you can now join us for the 20th EO OudFest in New York, the city where it all began.
