Elixir of Life
$4,195
This is easily one of the densest, most intriguing oud perfumes you’ll…
This is what happens when you take perfumery to the end. The extreme. Thick slabs of sticky gaharu vapor wafting through it all to turn that buzzing nectar into a perfume of the sickest caliber…
Imagine the eccentric fusion of lavender and pineapple, juhi and hyacinth, spikenard, violet, and pear about to pop as waves of Papuya, 80s Myitkyina oud, and 80s Royal Ta’ifi rose crash over and crack open that crazy brew.
While the previous edition was overwhelmingly purple, this Gong Xi exclusive incorporates Pattani and Port Moresby to add a layer of jade and create a perfume unlike anything before.
Elixir of Life also contains extinct Tonkin musk steeped in aged, wild Yunnan oud (our in-house infusion) which adds to the enhanced resinous diffusion of purple-green ouds that flow into each other bound by vintage orris butter from the 1950s.
Without accounting for the additives (Tonkin & Tibetan musk and black ambergris), you’re already looking at a perfume that’s ~55% concentration.
This is easily one of the densest, most intriguing oud perfumes you’ll ever experience, using not just an ensemble of ouds which, both profile-wise and terroir-wise, has never come together, but also the sheer concentration of those ouds that practically spill out of the bottle.
One for the history books.
