Of Wolves and Men: Kamboche

The only way to make this more of an oud-musk bomb would be to remove the…… uh… wait.

The entire carrier is made up of our royal musk trifecta: ancient Tonkin, Tibetan, and Mongolian musk. And there’s probably enough oud in here to make a hundred mainstream ‘oud’ perfumes.

I made Private Blend as my personal luxury perfume, one that I thought was already extravagant with the ingredients and unprecedented in its concentration. 

But this edition takes things to a whole new level…

This edition also contains three full grams of Kamboche, an unreleased Oriscent oud, per 30ml. This pushes the overall concentration to over 41%…

Kamboche was one of the most labor- & time-intensive ouds we ever produced. From sourcing, gathering, sorting, and grinding the super dust in Cambodia, and then flying it, in person, to one of my Sifus’ distilleries where it was crafted Oriscent style, this is no ordinary Cambodi.

It’s the reddest, most medicinal rouge you can wish to smell – more so than even Kinam Rouge, the first ever Vietnamese oud we released (distilled in 2014), itself! And a full bottle’s worth doesn’t just give you a whisper, but imbues the OG juice with more red than your nose can probably handle!

You’d be hard-pressed to find a more suitable oud to amp up the tenacious wafts of oud and musk and spice and musk and oud than the smooth red tenor of Kamboche.

To put it into perspective for you: The amount of Kamboche in this perfume alone qualifies it as an EDP. And this is just the additional oud in here!
