Description

Oakmoss & tobacco veneered with Tonkin musk, khus and… obviously – vintage Maroke oud. Hints of coriander and pepper spiced up with clove make it a cocktail of Maroke’s zest, earth flavor, and deep syrupy incense.

First spritz, and it’s unadulterated oud vapor wafting right at you…

You’ll think you’re the incense; a scent so oudy it’s like your own wrist is the charcoal with a fat chunk of Papua oozing out its goodness.

Maroke Maharaja was first offered as a promotional attar. It got so much love that people started asking if there will ever be a perfume edition made.

When I said we’d need to have a minimum number of orders in order to tackle such a composition, members on our FB group pooled together and quickly made it a reality.

Quality Maroke oud is one-of-a-kind, stands out like a giant among other ouds for its instantly-recognizable petrichor, earthy, incense-infused scent of forest rain and early morning air after the rain…

I thought it too hardcore a perfume, that the Tonkin musk grains brewed in oud would be too strong for most folks. Turns out, it’s exactly that tropical dive into the heart of the Papuan rainforest that made everyone fall in love with it…

Featured Testimonials…

Maroke Mahraja is a fragrance that immerses you in the depths of a rain-soaked jungle, where oud is the air you breathe. From the first spray, a wave of smoky, resinous oud unfolds, rich and primal, as if your skin itself has become the source of incense. Oakmoss and tobacco add an earthy, vintage depth, while Tonkin musk and khus create an animalic, almost untamed sensuality. Spices like coriander, pepper, and clove flicker through the darkness, amplifying the raw, forest-like essence. This is not just a perfume—it’s an untamed force of nature, bold and deeply evocative, lingering like the scent of damp earth after a tropical storm.

Resinous – Green – Sour – Very Airy – Piney – Foresty – Beautiful Drydown

Oh! I like this one alot!

Today I am wearing Maroke Maharaja. Originally released as a gift attar, the community was able to convince Ensar to create a perfume version. This is an absolute monster of a fragrance! It opens with a blast of sharp, smoky green incense and khus (vetiver).

The peppery coriander is very prominent in the open, getting awfully close to food-ish, but thankfully, the smokiness of the maroke oud holds the green coriander back enough to remain enjoyable.

The heart of this fragrance is a melange of oud, smokiness, tobacco, oakmoss and vetiver. It seems like they are all fighting for the top and each sniff gives me something different. I am getting a tiny bit of sweetness from cardamom and black tea, but it is quite subtle. Tonkin musk really grounds the composition, and allows all of the loud notes to blend cohesively together.

This is a wild fragrance. Truly unlike anything I have ever worn before and I am not really sure how to perceive it. It is green, smoky, oudy and loud. This is not for those looking to blend in.

Finally it’s here! And it is absolutely beautiful! 😍

Exactly what i expected! In fact, i think this is better than the attar…. I’m truly impressed!

It’s green, kind of minty and fresh, resinous and sweet, but also bitter and dark.

Very complex and very well balanced.
It’s really amazing!

Thank you Ensar Oud for creating this beauty for us, you guys have done an amazing job!

Thanks for everyone who took part in this project!

Oud Oil Notes

Note from a Customer

What used to be a wish of most of us finally got real, we got this banger attar in a spray version and it’s 100% like I’ve excepted it to be.

Let’s try to find a few words for this bottle of dark green juice. 😎

Maroke Maharaja opens with a blast of green vetiver notes paired with oakmoss a little touch of spiciness and a proper dose of coffee. Before anyone asks, no it’s not gourmand…

This greenish coffee opening comes also with a very nice and potent smoky note from the maroke oud which gives this perfume a very good incense vibe.

As it’s dried down you still got this beautiful vetiver x smoky oud combination but the intensity of the oakmoss and the coffee gets a little bit more calm.

Tonkin musk works in this perfume like a steroid…

The attar was already quite powerful and one of the few attars which I actually could wear for a few hours before applying another swipe but the spray version is really something different.

I can’t say very much more about this perfume because it’s not very different compared to the attar except for the fact that it’s way more powerful and better performing when it comes to sillage and projection.

All in all I’d say if you like to have an intense green, smoky and incense like scent you won’t be disappointed by this one. As mentioned before it’s not gourmand… I’d call it a super masculine and luxurious scent for a man who knows what he wants. If you’re on the hunt for compliments you will definetly get them while wearing Maroke Maharaja 😎

Massive props to the bro.

Niche Smokey Oud Perfume
Opens with lots of vetiver and fruity like sweetness. You can feel the strong presence of oud in the middle. There is a betel leaf kind of note in the middle that I enjoy a lot. There is a purple flower and yellow turmeric smell that is playing on the side.

It’s a strong perfume. But balanced and refined as all the ensar perfumes.

I always keep saying there is something magical in Ensar perfumes and ouds but I end up saying it’s the Ensar effect. The use of extraordinary musk makes it so amazing..

Chocolate nutty ness comes from the oud in the middle to the dry down ..
there is a richness and colour of gold you can feel once you close your eyes and enjoy the perfume.

The oud is mellow and romantic. Brings the best out of you. You feel like cruising after using. It sets you in the right mood …

And in the drydown comes the bitterness of the oud that I enjoy with some indian spices… definitely suitable for a Maharaja.. ❤️
