Description

This is the crown of my personal collection. I mean that half objectively, half subjecftively.

Oud has its places – Cambodia has Koh Kong. Laos has Pusong. But few jungles carry the weight of Nha Trang. This small coastal strip in Vietnam once produced the finest kyara the world has known, and it’s argubly the oud profile dearest to me.

The forests are quiet now. Long tapped out. What’s left are old stories, scraps of kinam traded behind closed doors in China and Japan.

Vietnamese hunters still roam Borneo looking for what used to grow at home. You’ll find their abandoned camps deep in the jungle – most return empty-handed or in cuffs…

That why such a massive monument to oud history is something you can barely beleive exists. You’re used to seeing oud chips, but never a solid chunk of resin this big. And not from Nha Trang!

Nha Trang gaharu is kinamic distinctively aromatic, with a red bitterness that makes the distilled oil from wood like this so incredible. Its scent profile combines bitter and savory elements, creamy yet dry textures, and a signature resinous character linked to its environment where it grew alongside legendary kyara trees.

This is not a large piece of wood that’s partly reseinated. What you see here is a single piece of solid, wild Nha Trang resin.
