Kinamantan

I want to smell the same magical green incense aroma that made you

Description

Some perfumes are finished the moment they leave the atelier. Others keep working.

This is the limited-edition 2023 batch of Kinamantan, which has been sitting in our archive since it was filled, sealed, numbered, and untouched, quietly doing what good perfume does when left alone.

What’s in this bottle isn’t a reformulation or a new direction. It’s that special Kinamantan: that dart of kinamic green, the toothpasty Myitkyina zap, the Maroke crown jewel that’s never been sold neat because no price tag has ever felt adequate for what it brings to a composition.

Aside from compositional variance, the difference is time. A couple of years of marriage between clove, ginger, mate, styrax, cacao, vintage Malaysian oud, Borneo agarwood, ambergris, Tibetan musk, hyraceum, oakmoss and civet – inside a sealed bottle, going nowhere. If you know what that means for a composition this dense, you already know why these bottles are worth flagging.

Only a couple available.

Featured Testimonials…

The best EO perfume in my opinion. I haven’t heard much about it, maybe due to the price? Either way, the scent starts off green, kinamic (methol/toothpaste-like), a beautiful incense (which is also what makes the scent so unique).
Towards the base, the scent becomes increasingly dark and mysterious.
Really the most beautiful green/dark scent and generally the best I’ve ever smelled. This also has an incredible depth, the longevity, sillage is perfect and mass suitability is also given.
I also like Kinamantan in every season, but especially on cooler days as the scent is rather dark.
A masterpiece.

I received my Kinamantan order today and after giving it half a day of wearing, man this has to be the most amazing oud perfume I have experienced. The depth and the green kinam profile is just magical and on a different level and words can’t do it justice. Easily in the top 3 Ensars I have experienced, and I have quite a bit.

Really loving Kinamantan! I’m not one that is good at breaking down a fragrance, but I can’t keep my nose off my arm. Phenomenal!

I’m still getting acclimated to what’s going on in this fragrance but to keep it short and sweet:
Smooth musks layered beneath lots of crystaline oud that definitely gives the aura of mint. Ensar Oud has a spectacular write up on the product page and nobody does it better as we know, but I get the “toothpaste” note he mentions and it’s awesome.
Don’t think of it as smelling a tube of tooth paste, more so the hum and buzz and shadow of the mint fragrance, balanced beautifully amidst musk.
After I’ve worn this for a few days, my sweaters smell like it and it is heavenly.
