Description

The perfume world goes bonkers over ambergris because of what an amazing exalting fixative it is. That’s the sole purpose people pay $45,000+ per kilo for decent raw ambergris, and why you see news headlines when some fisherman comes across a fragrant ‘rock’ worth millions of dollars.

In perfume, it’s not about smelling the amber itself, but rather how the ambergris transmutes other ingredients and then ties the scent pyramid together and naturally boosts the brew’s projection.

Holding raw ambergris in your hand, crushing it so that it forms a sticky paste, infusing it – the neat smell of pure ambergris… that’s not a marketable product.

There’s not nearly enough raw ambergris in the world to supply even an average-sized duty-free shop with pure tinctures or raw pieces. Compare that to all the duty-free shops of the world and all the boatloads of perfumes they contain.

That’s why so few have actually smelled a proper whiff of ambergris. Worse, most ‘amber’ perfumes have nothing at all to do with ambergris. As you may know, ‘amber’ as a scent category refers to labdanum-like smells, while most of the ‘amber’ compounds used in mainstream perfumes are synthetic.

Enter Jamaican Ambergris.

This pure perfume showcases the smell of raw ambergris and how it transforms its co-stars. And check out this cast:

The cornerstone of Jamaican Ambergris is the exquisite grey ambergris stowed away in our Royal patron’s personal collection for decades. These stones, plus an extra precious batch of the Sultan’s own amber-infused Oud……

Perfumers would like to have their ambergris tinctures be at least a few months old. If the infusion sat for a year – great!

Now, imagine what would happen if your ambergris went into an attar at the dawn of the Reagan administration, sat in the dark for forty years in royal treasury…… and you turn that attar into a star feature of your perfume.

The oceanic, sandy ambergris veneer is present all the time. If you jump right into smelling a fresh spritz, you’ll probably smell only ambergris; it’s that dense. A split second later, the rest of the aromatics catch up and the show kicks off.

I love what ambergris does to jasmine. In perfumes, jasmine is often quite a dense heart note, beautiful but not one that jumps at you. But here it’s like the spotlight brings the jasmine to life, invigorated by the oaky, sagey, sweetness of jambu resin, frangipani and vanilla.

I must say, this is a hard fragrance to note-pick. The scent is tightly wound, and while the ambergris element is palpable, the composition is so unusual you’re experiencing a unique scent afresh.

While replete with the Sultan’s rare ambergris, this is also an oud perfume like no other.

This edition contains two grams of Hoi An (per 50ml), from the EO platinum Collection, which I chose to inject a resinous aqua earthy oudiness into the ambergris. The sandy dry beach tone of the olde grey amber diffused through artisanal Hoi An oud incense.

A delicacy of a pure oud hovering over your hand with an aura of ambergris glowing around it, and waves of jambu frangi-jasmine sweetness oozing all over. All with a splash of fine Georgian rose otto to add its diffusive lift and lend an air of elegance to Jamaican Ambergris’ boozy Caribbean, rum-sweet profile.

The two grams of Hoi An in here alone is worth $1,000 (and, proportionally, 1.2 grams in the 30ml edition). So, when it comes down to numbers, you score this EO Platinum treasure and basically get this beefed-up pure parfum at $499/50ml – half the price you’d see our standard 50ml bottles sell for.

The rest… all the top-notch botanicals, the bottling, labeling, DHL Express shipping – the tons of SQ ambergris! – all of it is on EO’s account, not yours.

Holy moly i just did 2 sprays on my chest as my work day sotd and oh my lord even though i have tried JAG before but i still get blown away from this magnificent creation
How did Ensar Oud think that they can use a mixture of crushed tropical fruit baskets to balance out the brine the saltiness and the animalic characteristics of ambergris
Immediately i get the scent of sweet fruity salty ambergris dancing harmoniously so lovely. I dunno how hoi ann supposed to smell but this is the best the purest ambergris perfume you can get now yes its expensive but you get what you pay for
This is my first foray into JA line never sampled pinoy n maroke but damn people just get at least 15ml of this hoi ann edition to experience how beautiful this is and yes the hype is real for JA
UPDATE:
Bright and sunny hot day… lets go to the beach and have an icy cold tropical mocktail…..
I love JA so so much the fruity salty slight smoky ambergris that is amped up to heaven is just awesome… and because of JA I noticed that IG v4 drydown has a similar ambergris scent due to royal ambergris carrier
Totally satisfied customer here…

Jamaican Ambergris is an olfactory gem—easy to wear yet complex and multifaceted. It blends the sweet and green/aromatic facets of jambu resin with a luminous frangipani-jasmine duo, enhanced by ambergris, which adds its signature sandy, oceanic touch.

A unique oud brings an earthy-green yet almost aquatic nuance, complemented by the incense-like depth of Hoi An. The result is a balanced, fresh, and tropical composition with high-quality ambergris at its core. My favorite from EO.

Sprayed Jamaican Ambergris & boom! This is as great as I expected!

Brown sugary sweetness, candied rum-chocolatey-date-coffee ensemble of brown syrupy sweetness, musky tropical fruity juiciness, ambergris dry sea salty freshness…

—Florent F / USA
I open the bottle to behold Jamaican Ambergris the Hoi an version. Beautiful snug case, beautiful glass and quality. I open the top cap off and find it snug. I love the resistance. I prime the atomizer and I sprayed 2 hunks of sparkle bliss on my beard.
The opening surrounds me with sparkle fruity boquet of Ambergris. As the sparkle persist through the other ingredients, it is apparent the oud is in there in a creamy fusion with the jasmine and rose… and remember there is still the sparkle embedded as this note takes off. Then, you exhale to get another to whaft of a split second what it might be a fermented beer smell to then realize its the powdery accord of the flower and oud mix numbs your senses. As you exhale to inhale again, it is all those things with then a fizzy pop smell. If jasmine and rose was a soda accord with then the oud. Remember as you smell all of this, there is the biggest base of sparkle dancing with all the notes. I have never smelled an oud like this before.
I do know it is the oud moving me because I have tried the Maroke SQ version and the ouds are different. The maroke Sq has a bubble gum quality to it and a different dance with different oud.
Breathe again and the Sparkle Blue and platinum Jamaican Ambergris dance continues. The best fragrance hands down on planet earth.
In the end, Ensar might has well have just threw a hunk of whale poop straight up at our face. And yes I love it. Hehehe 🙂

Jamaican Ambergris Hoi An is everything what the two predecessors were but the new oud adds its own part. You notice a high dose of ambergris right from the start, which gives the scent its typical salty DNA. The sweetness has been tamed a bit and the rose is not quite as strong as before. The Hoi An oud has a very light fruity/maritime character – towards aquatic. That’s why it goes very well with the Jamaican Ambergris scent.
PinoyLTD was rougher and the ambergris a bit stronger. MarokeSQ is much smokier and sweeter. Hoi An is not exactly in between, but unique in its own way.
—Dardan Z / Germant

Just tried the new Jamaican Ambergris Parfum, what a realease that is! Always loved Jamaican Ambergris Maroke SQ for its opening, the resinous flowers, the beachy and tropical touch and that huge amount of beautiful Ambergris, so i ignored the fact that i dont like how dark and smoky it becomes after some time. The new Version is exactly how i always wanted jamaican Ambergris to smell. Everything i liked about it is still there and slightly more pronounced, while the stuff that i wasnt crazy about is gone. The flowers are noticeable much longer, the Ambergris jumps out more and the slightly fresh, woody and mango-like smell of Hoi-An fits in just perfect. The new Version works better in warm weather for me and feels more tropical, while not being overly sweet. Its a straight 10/10 :pray:Feels a bit less dense than the Maroke SQ, but i am sure that it will change slightly over the next weeks :slightly_smiling_face:

If you have tried Jamaican Ambergris Ghalia, you definitely would pick up some fruity notes. It is so dense and alluring. That is a mix of passion fruit and mango, to my nose. However, in Maroke SQ version, due to the strong smokiness and earthiness of Maroke SQ oud oil, some fruity facets will be covered by the combo of Ambergris SQ and Maroke SQ. It did show off the great quality of ambergris used in the composition but will let some people down as they cannot get enough of floral and fruity notes in there. While Hoi An oud oil is doing quite differently to the composition, this oil is fulfilled with fruitiness and sparkling characters, it is never going to hide any fruity vibes but improving them to standup and show off in the composition! You obvs recognise the clear passion fruit note and tropical mango juice from the perfume version. And surprisingly, they are lasting very long and sitting on my skin for over one hour.
Also, thanks to Hoi An oud oil, its rich resins zoom in the sweetness to a higher level, to make this version the perfect one to be wore in heat days! Donot forget the ambergris, it is still the core of the play. May be due to a different batch of ambergris used in JA Hoi An version, ambergris in this bottle smells cleaner and smoother. Or is it because it is a new bottle and needing to be vaulted for some time? Or is it benefitting from Hoi An oud oil? I cannot tell for now. But Again, I have to say Jamaican Ambergris is the start of my journey with Ensar Oud, and it did activate my passion to explore more in this brand because of the high quality of ambergris, and generous amount to be used in perfumes.
Good things come in pairs! Backup of JA is on hand so could use it without worries. Lol

…couldn’t wait to get home. Had to rip up the package to get a spritz. And let me tell you, first impressions folks, this is worth the hype!

—Stephon D / USA
This sticky sweet and salty ambergris is so breathtaking and with the Hoi An oud oil the fragrance is fulfilled in my opinion.
This smoky Oud oil fits perfectly to Jamaican Ambergris
—Felix R / Germany
My favourite of all the iterations of JA. A superb salty ambergris with touch’s of tropical nuances. I’m reminded of my time in the Bahamas and the sandy shores.
A summer staple but also great for cool weather!
A thank you to Travis Hatter for allowing me to have this in my collection!

Reviews of the Previous Editions:

This was probably the best thing that could happen in the early months of the year. I’ve been craving so badly for a backup or a new version of Jamaican ambergris pinoy ltd and suddenly the Maroke SQ edition appeared.
The base of this perfume is not much different to the Pinoy ltd version but the Maroke SQ turns the Jamaican Ambergris formula to the dark side of oud.. and that’s great.
It feels like the perfume got even heavier than it already was. The dark wafts of oud, paired with the tropical fruity cocktail that we all loved in Jamaican Ambergris pinoy ltd work perfectly together. It’s definetly more masculine now with the dark Maroke notes and there’s also a decent incense touch to the perfume.
Projection and longevity is insane, people who aren’t used to that smell can get overwhelmed easily by the cloud that your pulling behind you if you spray too much of it (I still apply 4-5 sprays 🤣).
—Chris A / Germany

opening is the blast of bold tropical fruity cocktail vibe down to sweet, light salty of ocean and airy ambergris scent but with Maroke SQ.

Great scent which shift the focus from Oud to Ambergris.
—Jack N / USA
No words….
I’m just blown away again.
Gratitude to sidi Ensar for this pure treasure and sidi Kruger for assisting.
—Nadim D / UK

Ensar only has 3 ambergris so far (i hope i get this correctly), 2 on my hand and 1 on the website.

An absolutely stunning scents that walk you through a field of tropical fruit then heading to seashore to pick up some seashell while enjoy your journey, ambergris scent will emerge and surround you as breath in.

But of course, it will have to sit on top of the base note as always…….the Oud 😅 i don’t know what Oud this is BUT it is smooth, little bit creamy and addictive which are not the same as any other EO perfumes.

Lastly, i think everyone will ask Pinoy LTD better or Maroke SQ better……………………………………………………………………………………………….Answer: I DON’T KNOW SO I GET BOTH 😉
It is all depend on your taste.

These two version are not so different scents from each other so think it as “happiness feeling” but at different level of joy. Odd days i use Maroke SQ + Even days i use Pinoy LTD = Sunday i use BOTH 🫣

Both on my skin are same level of strength and longesvity, maybe Maroke SQ is a little bit bolder scent due to the natural of the oud oil, i’m not sure 🧐

—Jack N / USA

Another killer from EO.

—Jesus O. / USA

An interesting perfume which shift the focus from Oud to Ambergris. In simple way to describe about this EO is walking in middle of tropical fruit field at the openning (calm, smooth sourness). A very noticeable jasmin sambac here in the openning toward mid but quickly move down to the base of Oud with great scent of Ambergris floating on top (an oceanic, sandy ambergris).

—Jack N / USA

Probably one of the few EOs people would like to bath in. This is such well blended perfume that captures a perfect ambergris smell and adds on top a wonderful maroke oud.

Also the projection is overwhelming so I usually don’t need more than 2 sprays of it for a day, on clothes it stays even longer. On the skin it truly transforms into a salty-oudy experience which clouds your mind sometimes…. it’s really hard not to keep sniffing it.

—Dardan Z / Germany

Okay, so this one is something else. I’ll try and keep this breif, but I could go on and on. There are two worlds in this fragrance. There is a beautiful surface scent that is very very nice, obvious, and projects. However, there is extreme depth and complexity to this one. People who pass by will smell it and love it, but the closer they get the more of the beautiful complex composition they will get. It keeps drawing them in.

As probably most of us in this group, I have moved past much of the compliment fishing reasons for wearing a scent. I want something that moves me, or transports me away, speaks or yells to me, simply centers me, or connects me with that intangible place far in the past. Yesterday I put a spray on my hand just to test out the scent. It was an instant love, so I put a few more sprays on for an event I had to go to that I wasn’t really looking forward to. To my surprise, not only did it last all evening and through the night, I received 2 completely random compliments. It is easily liked by others as more simple fragrances usually are but also has the complexity and extreme depth that keeps me interested throughout the wearing.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever been as instantly impressed with a fragrance as I am with Jamaican Ambergris. This is unlike anything in my collection and it’s simply amazing. So thankful to call #14/72 mine. Thank you Ensar as well as the entire team for this and for the gifts sent along side.

Loving it! I get your EO1/Homeros vibes and this is certainly a pleasing one like EO3 and Oud Yusuf to me. Adaptable to all seasons as well (I believe…).

4 sprays today while getting some stuff from the nurseries. Whifs galore 🥰🥰. Going to wear it tomorrow again to see what else I can get from it. 🙂

Day one impressions: On initial spray the Ambergris is present and potent, and for me the jasmine shows itself immediately. The blend of lavender, orris, Vetiver, and oakmoss do give it a likeness that compares to other EO releases, especially Tonkin Musk, and the ambergris here is so thick and potent it almost comes off as musky. While I understand the comparisons, I do find this to be unique and incredibly pleasant. Performance is exceptional for me as well, not quite nuclear like some releases have been, but definitely well above average. I put one spray on my forearm yesterday after a shower about 16 hours ago and it’s still projecting lightly.

The biggest surprise with this composition also happens to be a landmark occasion for me. A first since my foray into natural and artisanal perfumery. Over my many years of fragrance collecting I’ve found a small handful of fragrances that my wife has enjoyed enough to want to wear herself (funny enough Josh, one happens to be a Tom Ford 🤣), but since getting into naturals and specifically Ensar Oud as a brand, we’ve yet to find one. Even finding compositions that she truly enjoys on me has been quite challenging.

When arriving home last night and smelling it immediately as she walked in the door, she asked me if I had lit a candle or was burning some me incense. She was in love with the scent. So much so that she was smelling my arm all night last night, and to my shock actually asked to wear it this morning!

So congratulations Ensar and team, we finally have an EO Parfum (and natural composition in general) that we can both wear and enjoy together. Here’s to looking forward to more to come! 🍻

😍😍

I can’t be the only one that loves the labels: the embossing, the design, the hand-written numbering and signature. I just think they are amazing looking and prefer the signed paper editions to the leatherwork even…

—Geoffrey R. / USA

Initial Impression: Jamaican Ambergris opening is very familiar, instantly reminded me of the leathery accord from an earlier edition of EO1 and Homeros, the Pinoy LTD is quite pronounced in the beginning, with that dry, woody bitterness kick, molasses, and thick soy sauce type texture, playing along with the grey ambergris with a touch of animalic undertone.

The floral accord is being kept on the leash, at least in the beginning, and it’s being overshadowed by both the Ambergris and Oud in the first 30 to 60min, but you can still tell there’s a bouquet of flowers waiting to shine, it smells somewhat similar to that of the Tonkin Musk PP’s floral accord. The Musk serves as a supporting and minor role in this composition, it’s probably the 4th or 5thplayer down the list, in a similar fashion as the C&P and Iris Ghalia, at least on me, the musk here isn’t a dominant note.

Once the Oud and Ambergris settled down a little bit, at around 1 ½ to 2hr mark, the floral accord drove mainly by the Jasmine, Lavender, and Orris butter came forward and made themselves known, carrying with them a bit of sweetness, caramelized vanilla beans, some resins, sandalwood, and hay-like earthiness in the background, a lot of familiar notes….like an old friend, a similar tune playing a different song if that make any sense.

Initially, the Ambergris was giving me a bit of a nose blind issue, and playing peekaboo on me, especially when I kept sniffing my arm. I can perceive the Ambergris a lot clearer and louder when I applied two sprays to the middle of the chest further away from my nose, to smell the aura and scent bubble instead of constantly sniffing at the application site, only then, I was getting some additional sea salts on top of the animalic undertone. Ambergris strength-wise, I would say it’s somewhere in between the EO1 series and Tigerwood PP, it’s prominent and distinctive, but definitely not overpowering.

At 3rd to 4th hour, I’m getting a bit of powdery or dusty type deal, along with a hint of soapiness, nothing offensive, they are weaving in and out in between all other notes, the oakmoss also came off a little bit on the damp and mossy side, probably due to the Pinot LTD bitterness and a combination of other notes. So far, I’m getting the impression that some of these notes are still clashing and fighting for dominance, I’m pretty sure they would settle the score after a few weeks, the composition should mellow out and calm down. Or, my perception would have changed by then.

As always, perception is subjective and your mileage may vary, the jury is still out so far. I’ll have to give it more time and a few more wearing to see a clearer picture, it is a very interesting composition for sure, even with some savory quality to it.

The funny thing is, I got #4 on both the Cambodi Cologne AND the Jamaican Ambergris. 🤣😆

Oud Oil Notes

Note from a Customer

Original FB Post

First full wear review: Jamaican ambergris starts with a heavy blast of salty, fresh ambergris paired with a beautiful bouquet of flowers which gave me Tibetan/Tonkin Musk vibes.

You get slight boozy accords but they don’t smell like rum or alcoholic. I don’t know how to describe it in a proper way but it’s very smooth.

Wafts of oud and musky cola notes join the party as well together with a well known orris note (which I’ll describe later).

After a while something really weird happened with the smell of this fragrance…

But in a positive way 😉.

The ambergris note stays over the whole time but after the fragrance dries down it’s like you’re getting a EO all stars remix.

The rose and the ambergris paired with the Oud notes reminded me of the opening smell from EO1 but in a slightly different way. You don’t have this leathery vibe it’s more like a fresh EO 1 ambergris Rose accord. Absolutely amazing, and if that’s not enough I also got very strong Iris Ghalia vibes from the orris as well together with this peach ice tea note which is super potent in Iris Ghalia and it’s also in this fragrance.

When it comes to oud I have to admit that I’ve haven’t smelled Pinoy or the blue oud so I’m not really able to tell you how big the role of these two ingredients is. You have very smooth oud notes over the whole time but in a very special way. You need to smell it for yourself to understand that..

Just another few words on the ambergris, it’s definitely the main player of this whole composition and I’ve never experienced ambergris in this way. If you read what Ensar says about this grey ambergris in the description on the website you can be sure that there’s no better way to describe this ingredient. It’s a carrier but also a super intense note which makes beautiful ingredients like jasmine even more beautiful.

So how would I describe the smell in a few sentences?

I’d say take the best out of Tibetan Musk, EO1 and Iris Ghalia… Add a few sprinkles of Tonkin musk and a proper dose of oud and stir it up with probably one of the best ambergris notes ever and you get Jamaican ambergris 🤩.

Of course there are a lot more precious ingredients in it which lead to this beautiful smell but to make it easier for you guys to understand what I’m thinking about this perfume I’ve decided to describe it like this.

And keep in mind this is just the first impression from wearing it over the day.

I usually let my EO fragrances untouched after the first 2-3 testings to let them expand their full potential. This might take a few weeks but it’s absolutely worth it.

And just a few personal thoughts regarding to the decision of buying or not buying.

Jamaican ambergris was a blind buy and I was really struggling if I should pull the trigger and spend 1k on a perfume which I could not like. But I’m not regretting the decision. This is a fresh, flowery, oudy and super luxurious scent and I don’t know if there will be even one single person who doesn’t like it. Especially for warmer days, it’s an absolute banger.

BUT if you ask me if you should go for it I can only tell you that you have to make this decision for yourself. It’s not always about having every new release because people hype it. Try to get decants if you’re not that sure about pulling the trigger or not and only buy what you can afford without having a bad conscience. Just because someone likes it, it doesn’t mean that you’re liking it automatically.

It’s so different compared to everything else from EO but one thing is sure. This is a baller perfume 😎. Absolutely exotic 🌊🏄‍♂️🏝.

I also really like the bottle, even though it’s a paper label it looks really beautiful and brings some fresh vibes to my collection of gold plaque/ leather case bottles.

And I just need to say it again, as usual this is my 100% honest impression of this perfume, no one pays me for creating hype and I’m not on a hunt for likes. I just love to share my personal opinion on these beautiful smells with you guys 😊 (If there are any grammatical mistakes please blame the German autocorrect and a decent lack of sleep for it 🤪).

Jamaican Ambergris is lovely! It is an extremely pleasant fragrance.

Likened to discovering freshly crushed Ambergris whilst in a fragrant garden, surrounded by the ocean’s breeze.

With the whiff of sweet oud being carried by the wind as it whirls its way through tropical fruit trees combineing the scents into one.

That’s the closest way I can describe it.
Simply beautiful!

Ensar Oud Jamaican Ambergris Maroke SQ (JAMSQ)
Okay, so remember how I wrote that I’m content with having JA Pinoy Ltd (JAPL) just 2 weeks ago? 😅 Well…
Ensar Oud has managed to take the already legendary JAPL to new heights with this one. This perfume is smoooooth. Sooo well balanced. On some occasions, I’ve found JAPL a little “raw” in the opening and mid. But the symphony of notes in JAMSQ are so well blended that each minute after the initial spray is heavenly.
Similar to how I felt that OSK was the best iteration yet of the OS formula, JAMSQ takes the JA crown. If you love JAPL, either get yourself one of the few bottles of JAMSQ left on the website or grab a decant somewhere. This is perfume alchemy!

Sincere and immense gratitude to AN for relaying this absolute monster. And of course to sidi Ensar Oud for its perfect creation.

—Nadim D / UK

Celebrating Eid it with no other than the beautiful Jamaican Ambergris Pinoy LTD. This composition starts with a huge shot of ambergris paired with a lot of tart-floral notes. Pinoy LTD does this scent justice, giving it a touch of smokeness. It transforms the scent into salty sea air but sandalwood takes it into the sweet side. Wonderful! Owning Maroke SQ too, I can easily say that you gonna be satisfied with both. Grab a bottle guys while it’s still on sale!

Just did a 1 spray on each hand & already smells amazing , one of my fav notes are in this wonderful creation . Ambergris , Jasmine , sambac Jasmine , Orris , Vanilla, Amber , Sandalwood , Tibetian Musk.

Jamaican Ambergris, the beautiful perfume, is the start of story between EnsarOud and me. This is my first bottle of EO perfume. And also this is a gift, chosen by me and paid by a friend. I am happy to pull the trigger at that moment and never regret doing so. Since it is running low for now, so I might think this is the best time to give it a review before it is gone.
My full bottle is Pinoy Ltd version, and I just got a decant of Maroke SQ version.
Talking about JA Pinoy, it is performing quite differently on cloth and on skin. On skin, it is starting with a strong Ambergris scent with obvious fruity notes. The fruit is more of a glass of blend with passion fruit and mango. Lavender is quite prominent to my nose especially spraying on cloths. Jasmine and rose are rounding the floral notes to get on a more elegant level. There is a touch of tobacco-like smokiness to help ambergris to perform better. A note of earthiness from vetiver helps to expand the earthy facet of ambergris. Tibetan musk offers a touch of animalic note on this high quality ambergris. Ah, donot forget the EO Amber. If you have sniffed EO Amber in raw way, it is smoky, savoury and animalic. Such a perfect combo with ambergris SQ. Oakmoss helped ambergris to become a bit watery and humid. It is like you are walking on a beach, enjoying the sunshine and the wind.
The composition becomes a bit sweet at dry down. Thanks to the proper amount of vanilla added, the sweetness level has reached my acceptable ceiling. Pinoy is the second player at this moment. Its bitterness and oudy profile lows down the sweetness. Pinoy is the best choice to this special composition. It is such a long-lasting scent. Spraying once on skin at night, when waking up in the morning, the scent is still detectable.
While JA Maroke SQ is a balanced version, coming with heavier smokiness from Maroke SQ and less floral and fruity notes. Lavender becomes a gentleman in this composition. I cannot agree more that the combo of Maroke Oud and Ambergris made by EO is one of the best accords in my eyes. Same accord could be detected in Iris Ghalia which is another my favourite from this house. Maroke version provides an oudier and more resinous drydown obviously by 2 grams of Maroke SQ.
Happy sniffing.
—Yisean Z / Australia
A trip to a tropical island beach in a bottle.
Salty breezes of ambergris paired with sweet and fruity notes, complimented with a beautiful oud note.
Last year when I’ve got my bottle I’ve been totally blown away by the smell of it and that hasn’t changed very much. Tbh it got even better with time and I love to wear it specially on the warmer days of the year.
This version of JA is probably the brightest one with a heavy focus on the ambergris and the tropical sweetness of the floral bouquet with a nice undertone of blue oud and incense.
Performance is outstanding, it lasts forever and the projection is quite heavy😎
