This composition started off as an iteration for our friend Abishek, who commissioned a jasmine-heavy semi-bespoke built around Vietnamese oud.
But instead of his Nha Trang reveree, Fou Guang goes back further to Koh Kong in the 1980sā¦
In tune with other platinum editions like Angkor and Homeros, Fou Guang highlights a premium agarwood distillation by accentuating the notes inherent in the Oudās profile itself. So, while exquisite jasmine and lotus abound, super fine vintage Cambodian oud makes up the bulk of the composition.
If you know about the Sultanās private collection, you know the Cambodis were the most precious, both in availability and for the higher prices they fetched. Fou Guang is built around the Sultanās own Kambodi, which is just as red as 1976 ā thick syrupy Kambodi resin with the floating lightness of jasmine & lotus blooming at midnight. One for the history books.
