Description

Elbows crack, heads clash, shirts tear in whirlpool mayhem as rockers spiral out of control. Earth mashing and crumbling, moist under their stamping boots. Tobacco, oakwood and a sea of Maroke oud resin, sizzling elegantly off Luciano’s tux.

Our man Pava’s tenor soars over distorted chords and a mad crowd moshing to the climax – no, no, sulla tua bocca lo dirò! – his tie crooked, his tux ripped. Wild Cambodi oud, seashells, more Maroke oud.

Smell black tea in Malinau oud, figs and black pepper rolled in cigar leaves dipped in black resin for your Bohemian breakfast the morning after. One black eye, a bruised shoulder, ’O Sole Mio still ringing in your head.

Moshpit Pavarotti is a dark, grungy, incense-heavy, with a sensual fig-meets-Thai-oud sweetness piercing through. As decadent as they come.

Don Morisco is an off-the-hook semi-bespoke edition of Moshpit Pavarotti, enriched with Royal Ta’ifi, Mélange Royale, Mélange Privé, and Burmi ‘79. The result is a rose-oud-rose-rose-rose-oud toner mid-moshpit at full volume. Extremely satisfying.

A Smoky, Spicy, and Seductive Fragrance Experience

In simple terms, this fragrance is smoky and spicy – but that barely scratches the surface. It is highly unlikely that you’ve encountered something like this before. It may overwhelm your senses, but trust me, it’s worth it. Four sprays were almost too much for me, but I wouldn’t take them back.

If you’re a fan of tea note in your fragrances, this is a must-try. The same goes for those who love smoky tobacco or rose (without the jammy sweetness). This scent is multifaceted, catering to all three categories individually, and if you love all three like me, you’ll fall in love. It also got faint fig note (mildly sweet) lingers in the background, but it’s short-lived, lasting only 7-8 minutes.

This fragrance is a smoke-incense behemoth, sweeps you to deep, dark woods, where the sweetness of fig, saltiness of seashells and the spiciness of pepper blend seamlessly, smoothed by a velvety smokiness. Lingering beneath is a cloud of oud smoke, ridiculously addictive and mood-enhancing.

Fragrance preferences are highly subjective and personal. While I believe this scent is a niche gem for fragrance enthusiasts, its price and density may deter some.

Be cautious when applying, as this fragrance can stain. I learned that the hard way – one spray on my neck left a noticeable brown mark. I wouldn’t dare wear it with white clothing!

This scent is a longevity powerhouse, lasting an easy 10 hours on skin. The 50ml bottle comes with a hefty price tag of $2800, making me cringe at the thought of how much my four sprays cost.

One notable aspect of this fragrance is its ability to evoke the scent of an old-school hookah setting, complete with the smell of smoke and a peculiar, fecal-like aroma that’s surprisingly gorgeous. Indians may find this note particularly relatable.

I was sent this fragrance to try, but unfortunately, it’s been discontinued. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to purchase it, but I’m grateful for the experience.
