A splash of Korean yuzu and Moroccan neroli kicks things off with the kind of bright lift that gives classic colognes their charm. A good EDC usually slides into a short-lived rosy heart and a whisper of a base – but typically, it all fades fast after that fleeting fresh opening.
That’s where this Cambodi starts the show…
Because this isn’t exactly a cologne. At 30% concentration, Cambodi Cologne is ten times stronger than your average EDC.
Colognes (usually ∼2% – 5% concentration) are typically light, fresh (often citrus-based) fragrances, and it’s this fresh factor that lies at the heart of this cologne-that’s-not-a-cologne.
Cambodi Cologne was composed to capture the fresh factor – and then add plenty more layers to let the top notes linger longer and have a full-on heart and base experience on par with the highest-dosed extraits and parfums.

After the burst of yuzu and neroli, jasmine and rosemary take the reins, laced with pink pepper and nutmeg for aromatic lift. Then comes a swirl of frankincense and hyraceum, binding the top notes, prolonging their brightness, and adding a subtle sweetness that melts into the jasmary heart.
A fat dose of Cambodian oud – freshly distilled in our custom-built still – anchors the base with ruh khus (wild vetiver), forming a drydown that’s fresher, deeper, and longer-lasting than anything you’ll find in a traditional cologne.
If you’ve read this far, it means you probably own a bottle of oud… or an EO Parfum. Either way, colognes make as little sense to you as they do to me.
You want your perfumes stuffed to the brim with aroma, dense enough that one spray leaves a soft sheen on your skin. You want more than just ‘fresh’…
So, you know why I made this – and what to expect from an EO ‘Cologne’…

Wearing Cambodi Cologne in the thick Thai heat today—and it’s perfect. Citrus and wood dancing together like they were made for this weather. The oud doesn’t weigh it down; it lifts. Bright, smooth, and dry in all the right ways.
It somehow smells better the more you sweat. Like the heat activates it, gives it movement. Everyone who’s caught it on me has nothing but praise—genuine, wide-eyed “what is that?” kind of praise.
Although I have other warm-weather options in my (pretty limited) rotation, I’ve been reaching for Cambodi Cologne a lot. Now that I’m down to my last drops, I have to change up the game plan. Man… this one’s going to be missed.

After 1 year owning this beauty, the weather today just hot enough for me to put on 2 sprays of Cambodi Cologne…
This is the perfect answer to masses that oud can be summer, cologne can last for 1 whole day…
Zingy, fresh, woody, herbal, Citrusy… this was by 1st bottle of Ensar, really sad that time did not have the guts to go for 30 or even 50ml, hence have to spray in moderate, only in high heat I am allowed to spray this on haha!

Summer, Summer, Summer! The heat is here and you have a definite wear for the summer days and nights! Cambodi cologne is sweet citrusy, pineapple with just the right dose of sweet woody slighty medicinal oud for your days in and out.

Love this one! Highly recommend! In my EO top 5.

Great citruses, juicy pineapple, warm animalic, a bit of floral and spice, Cambodian Oud with a touch of fruitiness, and a boatload of woody notes throughout the wearing. This is like the all-natural take on the Creed Aventus but 10x better, without getting involved in the synthetic chemical warfare, and no anosmic issues.
So easy to wear, easy to love, refreshing, simply spray and go, a parfum playing the cologne role, always get well over 12hr of solid projection out of this one, and not the skin scent type bullshit I’d typically get in the dry down from other niche and designer freshy.. Really wish I bought another 50ml as a backup while it was still on sale. This is easily one of the best EO bargains of the year!

Something Refined – A review of Cambodi Cologne
What is it about something that makes it “refined”? Certainly not its price, as there is no shortage of overpriced goods put out by big-name companies that have very little objective value. It couldn’t just be fantastic quality materials either; even the finest instrument in the hands of a toddler wouldn’t make for a “refined” piece of music.
It was Einstein that said to “make things as simple as possible, but no simpler.” Somewhere between simplicity and complexity lies a happy medium where a thing’s quintessence is realized without becoming muddled: take something away and it wouldn’t be fully expressed; add one more element and it becomes confused.
We have a similar concept in the world of physical therapy when working with people – too little stimulus and the body doesn’t respond; too much stimulus and the body overreacts.
I believe that this is what Cambodi Cologne has that has garnered lots of positive reviews. Being a fresh cologne, it was never meant to be a show-stopping, head-turning beast of a complex fragrance. It makes no attempt to steal the spotlight from the likes of some other well-known EO parfums. It fulfills a different role. It doesn’t need to be compared to NFU or C&P because you were never meant to have to choose between them.
True to its name, this is a cologne through and through, refreshing and clean, and yet it has what most colognes lack—a satisfying and long-lasting base. Just looking at the notes list, this could easily have turned into another opulent banger. The top could have been richer, more honey spiced like Private Blend; the heart could have become a complex blend of florals, resins, and spices inextricably woven together like Chinese Exclusive; and the base could have been more powerful with the inclusion of darker ouds and potent animalics. But instead we get a refined cologne that, as far as colognes go, is among the best I’ve tried.
The opening showcases a duet of bitter yuzu and a beautiful jasmine/neroli floral note, both of which are cut through by a dry hay-like vetiver. The three notes are distinct and equally portrayed. Refined.
The heart introduces a gentle rosemary to the jasmine and neroli. The jasmine is especially lush and prevalent, but the neroli adds a clean soapy feel to it.
Refined.
The base is highlighted by a beautiful Cambodi oud that is made even more grounded by a dark green vetiver note. Simple and refined.
This one isn’t just for “beginners”. After sampling and testing this one over the past few days, it was tempting to start the review off by saying something like:
“This is the one to start with. If you’re new to the world of artisanal perfumery or natural ingredients like ouds and musks—as I was just a few months ago—and you’re not sure where to begin, look no further.”
But this approach didn’t quite sit right with me because it would not have done justice to the fact that this is “cologne” done exquisitely. If it had been anything less than it is, it would have been quickly written off along with hundreds of unsatisfying designer freshies. If it had been anything more than it is, it would no longer have been a refreshing cologne. I imagine that composing this one took a fair bit of restraint, but it sure did make for an amazing summer scent.

My Cambodi Cologne came in today. Lost for words. If this was released from a designer house “this” would be the release of the year. Imagine the best a designer could release with all naturals. As this came from Ensar with many other greats it’s up there with the best of his releases. Some of the notes I thought would be a turn off i.e. Civet and hard spicey notes turned out to be silent which I love. I don’t know why but I get a Tibetan Musk vibe which doesn’t seem to be a note listed. This parfum has no turn off notes and no harshness. It’s somewhat sweet with a hint of Tibetan Musk. Some florals for sure but not Yusuf florals or roses. It’s def. going to be getting a lot of wearing.

Love the combination of pineapple, jasmine and oud. Absolute beauty. Absolutely love this scent!

A real Parfum in Cologne disguise, don’t let the name fool you, the projection is at least 12″ right off the bat, getting a blast of Yuzu and Neroli front and center with a hint of bitterness, followed by a hefty dose of beautiful Cambodian oud, which has a bit of that amber hue and some fruitiness going for it.
There’s a small amount of spices, and the Jasmine stood out more than the Ylang Ylang to me. The animalic facet is mild, not particularly challenging at all, it’s giving off warmth and comforting sensation to the overall composition. The mid drydown has a very nice layer of earthiness and woodiness undertone, presumably from the Ruh Khus along with the Cambodian Oud…..it’s sooo good!
I’ve also perceived a bit of sandalwood about an hour in, even though sandalwood isn’t listed in the note breakdown, it could very well be a combination of notes giving me this perception that keeps reminding me of Santal Sultan. Oddly enough, I didn’t get any pineapple note till the mid drydown, the ripen juicy pineapple is great, definitely much more pronounced here than the Santal Sultan (which I didn’t get any pineapple at all), perhaps the citruses overshadowed it in the beginning, i’m really digging it!
Overall the Cambodi Cologne is medium body, the citruses balanced out some of the sweetness and kept it in check, shouldn’t be cloying even if I oversprayed.
This is an uplifting scent, it’s anything but a “Cologne”, the density and projection are on par with most other EO parfum, which I think is excellent. Rest assured, this concentration certainly is going to blow away any EDT and EDP out there. I’m being wrapped around in a very beautiful scent bubble with just ONE spray to my left inner elbow. This bitter-sweet yet refreshing composition is very enjoyable, it would be a perfect scent for the incoming Spring. CC is another nice change of pace from all the Musk and Oud centric compositions I’ve been drowning in. This is a beautiful and lovely release for me, so glad i went straight for the 50ml. Thank you Ensar Oud for giving us a good discount on this release!!
Edit: 8hr later it was still projecting about a foot, decided to wash my arm so i could test a different fragrance, didn’t work, had to wash it the 2nd time again. Performance certainly isn’t an issue on this one. This could have been named Cambodi Extreme.
Ordered some Thai food takeout yesterday, they weren’t how I remember it, not enough spices, too much sugar in a lame attempt to cover up the watered down and weak sauce they put in this crap, with zero kick, and completely bastardized. A classic example of faux Thai food around here, usually they were quickly whipped up by the restaurant for a quick profit. Needless to say, this sort of fake “Thai food” always leaves me dissatisfied and wanting more.
So today I’ve decided to roll up my sleeves and make a traditional Malaysian’s Nyonya Curry Beef from scratch with what I have available. As they’d say, if you want to get the shit done right, do it yourself!! A combination of homemade sambal, coconut milk, red chili paste, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, ground star anise, ginger, minced garlic, turmeric, coriander, cumin, a dash of pepper, some sweet soy sauce, shallots, 2lb of USDA Prime Ribeyes steak, and some chickpeas (instead of potatoes). The result? Rich, creamy, explosion of flavors with a nice kick, soft and tender beef that melts in your mouth, none of that chewy beef that was tough as leather shoe here, the chickpeas is a good alternative to potatoes, which would usually crumble and melt into paste as you reheat them, served with Paratha and Naan.
Welp, my house smells like a spice shop for hours, to counter such a bombastic and heavy aroma throughout the house…I have got to wear something uplifting, and lighter to counter it. My choice? Cambodi Cologne, a “USDA Prime Grade” Cologne. Wonderful citruses in the opening with the ripened pineapple, beautiful Cambodian Oud, and a light floral accord, just a hint of fruitiness, and the heart-warming woodsy notes. Got to go with 3 sprays this time, yep….that did it. A powerful “Cologne” is exactly what this is, and exactly what I need today, and this gem does the trick.

Probably the perfect scent for the summer.
When it was released a few months ago, I was not sure if this one’s going to be a fragrance that I like. It sounded too simple for me but sometimes it’s the simple things which can cause big enthusiasm.
So I got a sample of it and was like hmm ok smells quite interesting but not very convincing at all and I forgot about it.
A few weeks passed and I’ve decided to give it another try…
I’ve sprayed it and I was quite impressed by the smell of this perfume. I’ve applied another few sprays and went to work to see how it performs and how long it’ll last.
The opening is a mix of fresh herbal notes paired with the bitterness of yuzu and a slightly sweetness of pineapple. The Neroli plays also quite a big role in this composition and blends absolutely well into the other ingredients.
After a while the cambodi oud starts to come out and it’s clearly noticeable. I can’t say how big of a role the civet and the vetiver play because I mainly smell the bitter, fresh, citrusy florals paired with the herbal notes and the cambodi oud.
At work everyone said how good it smells which was quite nice since some of the co workers can’t handle the oud and musk clouds that I usually leave behind me while walking trough my workplace.
The scent lasted during my whole shift which was about 7 hours and that’s quite impressive.
Cambodi cologne is a perfume which goes in the direction of a cologne smell without being a cologne at all.
If you’re searching for an easy to wear fresh scent that lasts long, you should give this a try.
