Cambodi Caramel
Price range: $399 through $1,995
Gourmand through an oud hue—with a dash of class and that signature EO animalistic rumble growling from within…
This is the one.
And you already knew it…
The one you’ve anticipated since you first heard the name… Cambodi Caramel.
A name with such intrinsic flavor you can taste it.
If you don’t already have the pure oud oil, imagine deep molasses hues, burnt caramelized sugar, and maple syrup poured over heated agarwood with a drop of honey and a pinch of cinnamon. The oud is a perfume in its own right.
But how could I resist amplifying such a profile?
Gourmand through an oud hue—with a dash of class and that signature EO animalistic rumble growling from within…
The challenge wasn’t the formula or the concept; it was listening to what the oud was telling me, balancing the exact botanicals and aromatics to harmonize and amplify its voice.
Its whispers of “just a wisp of cinnamon, a heart of golden honey, and a base of amber” became pleas for powdery mimosa, buttery ylang-ylang, and sweet carnation… and then demands for “JUST MORE OUD.”
Each auxiliary note amplifies the deep, molten sweetness like a megaphone.
Where oud lacks in top notes, this over-delivers: a diffusive accord of caramel, a heart pulsing with delectable florals, a base of chocolatey Mongolian musk truffle smeared with French cacao icing — the foundation for three grams of Cambodi Caramel (yes, 3 gr per 30 ml), smothered in sticky carob and jambu resins like an oud-damin-roll drizzled in maple syrup with a dollop of vanilla crème.
Oud-Hued Gourmand
When we say “gourmand,” we don’t mean confectioner’s frosting and bubble-gum clouds. We mean the natural sweetness Cambodi Caramel oud reveals when you let it breathe through vanilla, florals, and balsam.
This is not confectionary.
It’s a masculine profile — bold, complex, and refined.
The sweetness is like the smile of a beast: sincere, but on the face of a powerful presence, composed, yet intrinsically dangerous.
Long-lasting, ambery, and vanillic, but never drifting from its foundation: oud.
You’ll smell the caramel and honeyed wood, the dark tobacco and smoky resin, the warmth of vanilla illuminated by the same oud collectors have spoken of for fifteen years — the one that just rocked the oud world again this past July.
An Homage, Not a Replica
I didn’t create a perfume inspired by Cambodi Caramel.
I composed a perfume with it… copious quantities accentuated to oudy perfection.
So when you spray it, you’re getting all the best parts enhanced, the legendary oud in a modern medium.
A form that moves, that diffuses, that tells the story of Cambodi Caramel all over again.
There are perfumes built on trends…
And then there are compositions made with legends.
Cambodi Caramel was born of one, a legend collectors whispered about, defining an era of Cambodian oud distillation. A legend we waited fifteen long years to recreate, and which many of you now own. A profile so rich it made “Cambodi” mean something again.
THIS is gourmand oud, finally given a voice.Â
