Description

This is an old, old piece of Jayapuran wood that was kept aside when pioneers ventured into the Papuan jungles for the first time.

Not only does it hold historical significance, it showcases an archival, museum-quality resination pattern in both grade and sheer beauty of the natural agarwood sculpture. Holding it in the hand brings immense joy and aesthetic satisfaction.

It is one of the most beautiful pieces of agarwood I have encountered, and one that I showcase with a fare bit of trepidation at the mere thought that I may not see it again after this.

With a soft resinous veneer, almost chocolate-like consistency that’s characteristic of the finest pieces of kyara, this piece is solid resin with a texture unlike anything you’ve seen coming from Jayapura over the last decade or two.

A highly collectible piece that’s rock-solid and smells and looks incredible.
