Description

Hainan Attar was created specially for the Chinese New Year. Composed around red mandarin, it’s deliciously enhanced with the intoxicating zesty citrus of high incense-grade wild Hainanese Oud.

An assortment of florals, including tuberose red rose and mimosa flank the aroma’s mandarin heart to pay homage to the beautiful bouquets you’d usually see, and smell, everywhere across the Far East during this holiday season.

Reddened by a touch of saffron to bolden the rose, and orange blossom to add depth to the mandarin, you’ll enjoy much more than a mere splash of orange peel, as mandarin lush with its supporting cast are honed by super fine Hainan agarwood.

The Hainanese backbone of the citrus-floral aroma is of the same caliber as Hailam Kilam. In fact, oud makes up half of the composition.

The diffusive effect of fine rose coupled with the thick fixing character of saffron brands the mandarin orange flower sweetness into the addictive red powdery core of the Hainan oud. The result is a luxury attar that’s layered with flavor, edible even, and smells regal.

We may not be swaying to the tune of “Gong Xi, Gong Xi” this year but here’s your chance to join in a floral citrus olfactory celebration of our own.

So, take a fat swipe or three, or gift a bottle, and let these oudy wafts of mandarin marinated in Hainan’s wildest agarwood be your bouquet, your gift basket, your rich citrus oudy feast this year.

Customer Reviews:

Hainan Attar is wonderful. It’s sublime. Smooth, ethereal, absolutely wonderful.

I love the Mandarin orange top in the Hainan Attar and the dry down is amazing. That one will be perfect for the spring and summer.

“Initial impression: Hainan Attar slowly turned out to be one of my absolute favorite EOs (in the attar/pp category). Juicy, citrus, bitter sweet, saffron laced goodness. This as a Pure Parfum.

One of my favorite ENSAR creations! Fabuloso!

I love it! Citruses mixed with wild Hainanese Oud makes a great combination.
In the summer one of my go to fragrance as always been Terre d’Hermès. I owned the EdP and the EdT and I now have Eau Très Fraîche, but Hainan Attar is so far the best Orange/Mandarin composition I have ever smelled.

Hainan Attar – an underrated (or at least under-reviewed) beauty!

This is my favourite from the first set of oils I purchased from @ensar.oud. I was drawn by the inclusion of wild Hainanese oud, which is not something you come across very often.

It opens with a juicy, sweet mandarin note that surprises me every time I wear it. It is redundant to call any EO oils “realistic” because they all contain real natural oils, but the beauty of natural perfumery is something that is still captivating to me.

The delicate florals are seamlessly blended with the citruses and spices, giving an overall impression that is zesty, warm, and elegant.

Most citrus fragrances would slowly lose their citrus quality as they dry down, but this attar never does. The citrus note is part of the integral melody in the fragrance, moving from fresh and juicy, to powdery, to woody, all the while remaining undeniably “citrus”. The continuity between the mandarin, orange blossom, and Hainanese oud is flawless, showcasing the various aspects of what citrus can be throughout the life of the fragrance.

I can’t recommend it enough!

This is a stunner.

I have to leave you a message here about Hainan Attar. I am in love with it. I cannot describe how much I love it. It’s a reminder of my childhood, where I would play outside my dad’s prayer room where he burnt agarwood shavings. The touch of sweet mandarin really does smell like Chinese New Year!

I used to live in Hainan by the way. I really don’t know how you managed to mix this attar so beautifully. I took a swipe this morning and it’s almost 5pm and I am still smelling it on my wrist. It’s so sweet, so creamy, so dreamy and addictive. I am now in my late 30s and I can’t thank you enough for giving me a piece of my childhood back.

“Hainan Attar for the Saturday… 🤤

We have a saying in Germany for when you really like a food that literally translates to something like: I could sit/lie down into it = I could bathe in this 😂

Hainan Attar is that.

That juicy mandarine that gets beautified by florals, tamed by the bitterness of the oud and spiced up by saffron.

Juicy mandarine opening after which comes a stage that reminds me quite a bit of Oud Yusuf Pure Parfum. I assume due to the general interplay of oud and similar florals (tuberose for one, I believe) and some spicy accord (in OY it was that baking spice flavor), which might come from the saffron.

The orange blossom and that zesty bitter Hainan oud give this a different direction overall tho but still OY PP and Hainan Attar are not totally unlike, imho.

Very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to wearing this outside in the heat as well.

Oud & orange blossoms…so lovely! There’s more to it than but it’s easy to notice those two.🍊 One of my spring (or anytime) favorites.
